Preah Rup

2nd half of the 10th century (961)

King: Rajendravarman II   Religion: Hindu (dedicated to Shiva)

Preah Rup is a multi-towered temple crumbling under the plants and grasses
growing on the towers. Unrestored, it has a desolate grandeur. It is of
rosy brick and volcanic rock. We climbed to the top and reveled in the quiet
and the view of green trees and fields below.
